We receive many requests for membership in our banner exchange system each week. We are unable to activate a number of those applications because basic guidelines were not followed. To have your account created quickly, please make sure you understand and adhere to the rules below. We generally will activate accounts within 48 hours of submission.
The Arts and Craft Banner Exchange can provide you with plenty of free web site advertising. We want this system to grow with plenty of new,
quality members which benefits everyone. Please follow the guidelines below so your account can be activated quickly.
1. Very Important - You MUST provide us with the ACTUAL URL or web address of the banner you wish to use.
Banner URL's MUST end with the name of a jpg or gif
file.
Providing us with the web page of your banner is not acceptable. Banners
must reside on your own server - those stored on "AddDesigner" cannot be used since they are only a temporary storage location. Banner URLs
also must be less than 70 characters long. If it is longer, we cannot use the banner. This generally only happens with "free" hosts such as Geocities, Yahoo, etc. Also, all banners must reside on your own server.

Banners must be 468 X 60 and under 18K in memory size. Please verify size before submitting.
This is the primary reason accounts are not approved.

Import/export sites are not allowed, nor are web sites which generate
"pop-up" boxes or windows.
5. Once you submit your information, you will be provided with a snippet of HTML code which MUST be added to at least one of your web pages. If you do not add
the code, your account cannot be activated. Your account must show at least
minimal activity over time - inactive accounts are subject to removal.

Please note:
We do not contact you
prior to application deletion - we simply do
not have the time. Please make sure your have followed the guidelines prior to
registering. If your account disappears, you did not follow the
guidelines. The most common causes for deletion are invalid banner URL, banner
file size is too large, your site uses pop-up boxes, or your site is an
import/export business.
